The East Idaho Credit Union Foundation Builds Better Lives through Charity Fundraisers including Lemonade Stands!
Idaho Falls, ID August 22, 2022- The East Idaho Credit Union foundation primarily supports the Kicks for Kids program which raises thousands of dollars yearly and puts hundreds of shoes on kids’ feet annually. While most of the efforts and funding goes towards this program, there are other initiatives taken throughout each year to build better lives throughout the state of Idaho.
On August August 19th the East Idaho Credit Union Foundation raised money for the Idaho Foster & Adoptive Parent Association through lemonade stands. The IDFAPA is a non-profit who works to improve the care and support that foster and adoptive children receive in the state of Idaho. One of the ways in which they raise funds is through lemonade kits that they sell to raise awareness and funds in Idaho throughout the summer.
EICU hosted 11 lemonade stands on Friday across branch locations in Idaho from 11am-3pm. The credit union received donations from the IDFAPA, Ammon Chick-Fil-A, Broulims, and McDonald’s for lemonade, lids, and cups. Each glass of lemonade was free but they accepted cash donations at each stand. In total, $3,050.75 was raised to be donated back to The Idaho Foster & Adoptive Parent Association. The East Idaho Credit Union Foundation matched the amount raised for a grand total of $6,101.50 donated back to the non-profit. The support shown by community members and businesses was nothing short of incredible!
Both East Idaho Credit Union and Ammon Chick-Fil-A raised awareness for this fundraiser through Social Media. The two businesses partnered with a Giveaway that included a $50 Chick-Fil-A gift card, a $50 donation made back to the IDFAPA as well as $50 to a non-profit of the winner’s choice!
