Charitable giving is nothing new to The Frontier Foundation. In 1987, the credit union created the Coins for Christmas program created on the simple philosophy of “Kids Helping Kids” and the power of the Christmas spirit. In 2018, the program was revamped to be called Kicks for Kids to better represent the program that helps children in need all year round. The Kicks for Kids program is able to provide shoe vouchers to children that are identified by participating schools and organizations in Idaho.

In 2022, the Credit Union announced the Coins for Christmas and the Kicks for Kids programs are now a part of their brand new 501(c)(3) called the Frontier Foundation. The foundation will not only better serve kids in need, but will now be able to help more programs and people throughout Idaho. Frontier Credit Union believes in building better lives and this new foundation allows them to better do that.

President of the foundation, Alicia Jones said, “I am excited to formalize our charitable giving, with this foundation. This will allow us to have a bigger impact in the future.”

Since the establishment of the 501(c)(3) in early 2022, the foundation has raised over $50,000. You can learn more about the foundation and how you can get involved by visiting: foundation.frontiercreditunion.com/get-involved.
